Photography Workshop

It’s already 2017 and time for another Beginning Outdoor Photography workshop. This is the third year the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge and I have partnered for the event and this year it will be held on swan day March 11, 2017 at 10:15 am at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge in Brigham City, Utah.

There will be an indoor class portion to the workshop and, weather permitting, an outdoor portion where we will head out on the refuge to photograph. The tundra swans are starting to show up in good numbers and should be really widespread on the refuge by the event, making it quite possible to get some great photographs of tundra swans during the outdoor portion of the event.

There is a limited amount of seating for the workshop and even though the event is free pre-registration with the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge is needed to assure we have enough room and seats for everyone in the class. The indoor portion of the workshop will most likely last a couple of hours or so, until about noon. Call the refuge at 435-734-6452 to register for the event.

We will discuss the basics of digital photography, covering aspects such as composition, light, basic gear as well as some basic image editing techniques. Come with questions and come with your camera.
