Photography is often times about subtlety and small things. It could be a different pose or a slightly different angle of the subject. For Example, I had the opportunity to photograph a short eared owl recently on an old wooden fence post, something I have not had the opportunity to do until now. Usually where I see them they are perched on metal fence posts but I like the old rustic feel of a wooded fence post more.
But the point of this post isn’t as much the fence post but how I spent a few minutes with this owl because he was on a different post and was able to get a couple different shots, albeit very slightly different but different enough to make each one unique. Each one hopefully captures something slightly different in how it portrays this short eared owl.
