Summer here out in the west always means one thing, wild fires. And wild fires produce a lot of smoke. Smoke does produce some unusual colors for sunsets and even colors on the moon. Last night was no different. I was able to capture a fairly colorful sunset and later that night a full moon rose over the mountains and for the first half hour the moon was a dark orange, most likely from shining through all the thick smoke and haze from the wildfires.
